Your Migraine Patients Aren't Getting Better Because You're Treating the Wrong Thing.

Most practitioners chase the migraine diagnosis. Dr. Caron chases the blocked channel. The results speak for themselves.

The Clinical Reality

Migraine Is a Fuzzy Diagnosis. That's Your Advantage.

There is no biomarker for migraine. No imaging finding that confirms it. The most definitive diagnosis Western medicine can offer is: this patient's symptoms meet ICHD-3 criteria. That's it.

For us, that's an opening.

From a Chinese medicine framework, what we're dealing with is qi stagnation in the head — primarily along the Urinary Bladder and Gallbladder channels. Our job is to remove that blockage, descend the qi, and keep it from returning. In this course, Dr. Caron walks you through exactly how to do that, using a structured four-step clinical protocol built from 20,000+ patient treatments in Manhattan.

This is not theory. This is a protocol you can use in your next session.

I expect immediate results on Treatment 1. If there's no improvement within three sessions, I go back to the drawing board. That's the standard I hold myself to — and what I'm teaching you to hold yourself to.
— Dr. Peter Caron, DACM
01
You're Chasing the Diagnosis
Migraine has no confirmable test. Most practitioners treat the label — and get inconsistent results because of it.
02
You Don't Know the Channel
Why is the suboccipital group the first thing to needle? Why do you follow the channel all the way to the feet? The channel logic answers both.
03
This Course Fixes That
A four-step protocol — local treatment, channel coursing, auxiliary support, herbal reinforcement — that works on your next migraine patient.
Is This Course For You?

Built for Practitioners Who Are Tired of Guessing.

You Treat Headache Cases Regularly
Migraines and chronic headaches are among the most common presenting complaints in any acupuncture practice. This gives you a replicable framework for all of them.
You Want a Protocol, Not a Point List
Dr. Caron teaches a four-step decision tree — local treatment, channel coursing, auxiliary support, herbal reinforcement — not a one-size-fits-all formula.
You're Done With Soft Results
Patients who say they have migraines often don't. And patients who do often have trigger points, channel stagnation, and yin deficiency you can treat. This course shows you how.
What You'll Learn

A 4-Step Protocol for Migraine and Headache Resolution

This course follows Dr. Caron's clinical sequence exactly as taught at Gotham Acupuncture and the AAG live mentorship program. Each step builds on the last.

01
Local Treatment
Palpate and needle the suboccipital group, posterior neck, and cranial trigger points using Janet Travell's referral maps correlated to UB10, GB20, An Mian, and Du16. The muscle should jump. The knot should shrink. 3–10 needles depending on patient constitution.
02
Course the Channels
Move qi from the head to the feet along the UB and GB channels. Dr. Caron walks through an adaptable point sequence — UB13 through UB62, GB21 through GB40 — with clinical rationale for each selection, including xi cleft points, sinew channel openers, and Master Tung's Upright Tendons through the Achilles.
03
Auxiliary Support
Secondary point selection based on pathogen differentiation: Wind, Heat, Cold, Damp, Dryness, and the most common pattern Dr. Caron sees in migraine — Yin Deficiency with Liver Yang Rising. Includes LI4, PC6, SP6, KD3, Ear Shenmen, KD1, SI3, and Du20.
04
Herbal Support
Two core formulas: Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao San for qi and blood stagnation in the head (branch treatment), and Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin for anchoring ascendant Liver Yang — with modification guidance to get it right for your patient.

Common Questions

Clinical FAQ

Do I need to know trigger point acupuncture to benefit from this course?
No. Dr. Caron teaches palpation and needling technique within the course. Familiarity with classical point locations is sufficient to follow the protocol.
Is this course approved in my state?
The American Acupuncture Guild is a registered NCCAOM PDA provider. Most states accept NCCAOM PDA points for license renewal. We recommend verifying with your specific state board.
Does this course cover both migraines and tension headaches?
Yes. Dr. Caron addresses why the diagnostic distinction matters less than you'd think clinically — and why the same channel-based framework resolves both. He also covers which presentations require immediate referral.
How long do I have access?
Lifetime access. Watch once before your next migraine patient. Rewatch when you want to refine your protocol.
Does this course include herbal content?
Yes. Step 4 of the protocol covers two core formulas — Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao San and Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin — with modification guidance for the most common patterns.
Is Master Tung content included?
Yes. The Upright Tendons point — needled directly through the Achilles — is covered as part of the sinew channel opening protocol in Step 2.
